Please review these legally binding terms governing your access to Campus Gupshup’s educational directory, college comparisons, admissions counseling, and student review services.

Informational Advisory Role

Campus Gupshup provides research intelligence; final admission criteria, cutoff ranks, and fees remain at the sole discretion of respective universities.

Authentic Reviews Only

We enforce zero tolerance for fake, defamatory, or paid reviews. Reviewers must provide genuine student feedback without commercial bias.

Pune Legal Jurisdiction

All agreements, transactions, and disputes are governed under Indian jurisprudence with exclusive venue in the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.

1Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally enforceable contract between you (“User,” “Student,” “Institution,” or “You”) and Campus Gupshup (“we,” “us,” or “our”), governing access to and usage of campusgupshup.com and all associated applications, counseling channels, and APIs.

By browsing our directories, registering an account, booking counseling calls, or publishing reviews, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental or guardian consent to use the Platform under Indian law.

Important Notice: If you do not accept these Terms in their entirety, you must discontinue using Campus Gupshup immediately.

2Platform Role & Scope of Services

Campus Gupshup acts as an intermediary electronic directory and educational research platform as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Our core services comprise:

  • Providing aggregated institutional profiles, courses, fee structures, facilities, and placement analytics across Indian colleges and universities.
  • Facilitating verified student and alumni reviews to foster transparent academic research.
  • Connecting prospective students with accredited academic institutions and central counseling counselors.
  • Offering comparison matrices, exam syllabus summaries, and eligibility guidelines.

Campus Gupshup does not award degrees, conduct examinations, or issue autonomous admission letters. Admissions decisions, fee concessions, and cutoff ranks are determined exclusively by respective universities.

3User Accounts & Password Safety

Users may register as Students or Institutional Representatives. When creating an account:

Authenticity of Credentials:You must supply authentic, current, and complete details. Impersonation of students, faculty, or institutional deans constitutes a material breach and may invite legal action.
Credential Security:You remain solely accountable for maintaining the secrecy of your login passwords. You must notify our technical team immediately upon discovering unauthorized access to your account.

4Student Reviews & Content Policy

Student reviews form the backbone of Campus Gupshup. To maintain absolute credibility:

First-Hand Experience: Reviews must be based on genuine, personal enrollment as a student or alumnus of the reviewed institution.
Zero Tolerance for Commercial / Coerced Reviews: Submitting fake reviews in exchange for financial remuneration or institutional coercion is strictly forbidden.
Defamation & Slander: Content containing unverified criminal allegations, hate speech, religious or caste-based slurs, or personal attacks on faculty members will be purged.

Campus Gupshup reserves the editorial right to inspect, flag, withhold, or delete reviews that fail our automated and manual verification standards.

5Institutional Listings & Sponsored Ads

Accredited universities, deemed institutes, and autonomous colleges may claim institutional profiles or engage in promotional sponsorships:

  • Verified Institutional Badging: Granted only upon submission of authorized registrar authorization, AICTE/UGC/NAAC recognition proofs, and verified nodal officer credentials.
  • Clear Sponsorship Labeling: Promotional hero banners and featured college slots are distinctly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Featured Partner” to preserve editorial transparency for students.
  • No Review Alteration: Partner universities CANNOT pay to delete, suppress, or modify authentic, negative student reviews that comply with our content policy.

6Fees, Cutoffs & Placement Disclaimers

While Campus Gupshup takes rigorous steps to verify institutional data using NIRF filings, UGC gazettes, and official university prospectuses:

Dynamic Institutional Changes: College fee schedules, hostel tariffs, seat reservations, cutoff percentiles (CAT, JEE, NEET, CMAT), and scholarship criteria are periodically revised by university governing bodies without advance notice.

Verification Requirement: Students and guardians are strongly urged to verify final financial commitments and academic requirements with the respective university registrar or our verified central counseling desk prior to remitting admission deposits.

7Admissions Counseling & Lead Routing Protocol

Campus Gupshup maintains an anti-brokerage admissions counseling service:

  • Direct institutional contact numbers are sanitized to protect applicants from predatory educational brokers and unvetted agents.
  • All counseling callbacks, seat verification queries, and scholarship guidance are routed through the official Campus Gupshup central helpline: +91 8851597099.
  • When you explicitly click “Apply Now” or “Download Brochure,” your academic interests are transmitted directly to the authorized admissions department of that specific institution.

8Intellectual Property & Trademarks

All software, user interface designs, ranking algorithms, database compilations, visual graphics, and branding on Campus Gupshup are the exclusive intellectual property of Campus Gupshup and protected under Indian and international copyright laws.

Institutional logos, university crests, and trademarks displayed on the platform are the property of their respective owners and used strictly for factual identification and fair informational reference under Section 30 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

9Prohibited Conduct & Platform Misuse

Users agree NOT to engage in:

Automated Scraping:Deploying bots, spiders, or automated crawlers to harvest college leads, fee databases, or reviews without prior written consent.
Security Circumvention:Attempting to breach, probe, or test vulnerabilities of our servers, authentication tokens, or Supabase Row-Level Security.
Identity Impersonation:Misrepresenting affiliation with universities, college management councils, or state admission authorities.
Spamming & Phishing:Posting unsolicited promotional links, commercial services, or fraudulent educational schemes.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

Campus Gupshup, its directors, employees, and technology partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from: (a) your use of or inability to use the platform; (b) admission decisions, cancellations, or fee hikes executed by institutions; (c) inaccuracies in student-contributed reviews; or (d) technical server disruptions or downtime.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) directly to Campus Gupshup during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Campus Gupshup and its affiliates from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and legal expenses arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, defamatory reviews authored by you, or your violation of third-party intellectual property rights.

12Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any contractual relationships shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India.

Exclusive Judicial Jurisdiction: Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
